CAUSES THAT TOUCH

OUR HEARTS

Welcome home, children of God!

Make a Difference

Imagine what our real neighborhoods would be like if each of us offered, as a matter of course, just one kind word to another person.

Fred Rogers

FOUR for FOUR Congregation

A Four for Four congregation declares its connection with the ministries of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
and joins in the efforts of Presbyterians around the corner and around the world to share God's grace and endless love.

Christmas Joy supports past, present, and future leaders of the church through racial/ethnic schools and the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions

One Great Hour of Sharing supports many different programs around the world including Self Development of People, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and the Presbyterian Hunger Program.

Pentecost supports young people and inspires them to share their faith, ideas, and unique gifts with the church and the world.  We keep 40% of this offering to use for local mission for youth.

Peace & Global Witness encourages the church to embrace God’s reconciling mission to those around the corner and around the world, empowering congregations and individuals to become peacemakers themselves.  We keep 25% of this offering to be used toward local peacemaking and witness efforts. We donated to the Salem Warming Center.

Backpack Buddies Program

Coordinator, Sheila Cunningham, 503-393-0404 or email office.johnknoxpreskeizer@gmail.com

We joined with Faith Lutheran Church, Keizer in the Backpack Buddies ministry to provide nutrition support through four weekend meals to children from Cummings Elementary School during the school year. For ways to help please contact Sheila Cunningham, our coordinator.

To make sure our children and youth get the best care possible, DHS/Child Welfare needs Oregon communities to join them in wrapping supports around foster families and caseworkers. Everyone can help in ways small and large, from making a simple donation to becoming a foster parent. You can find a way to help that fits you best here.
